Is your television older? Most modern TV's should be able to output PAL.

If you downloaded it within the first 6 hours of release, please get it again as I've fixed the PAL/NTSC menu issue.

its relatively new maybe a 1-3 years old.
and when i tried to run Animal Crossing NTSC-U (shrunk) it just sits at the flickering black and white screen.

i figured that if i loaded the game it would run normal but it didn't even boot up.

I want to tell you that i really really admire you! If this gets to work ok with games it will be one of the biggest leaps in the gamecube scene.
SD Geko should be thankful to you cause a lot of people (like me!) are going to buy their product just for these great piece of work.

Does anybody now if the Wiikey SD Card Adapter works ok? I was thinking of buying one here as i live in argentina and most of the sites charge me a lot for the shipping:

I hope emu_kidid will work on thid sd load because it's very useful!
Oh, thank emu_kidid, this is a great project!

One thing to really keep in mind.. is to not have many other files on the SD card. If a GCM file becomes fragmented, this software will probably crash.

So what I do is only have one file on at a time or make sure there's no fragments.

Also, if the program crashes, make sure you've formatted your card with softdev's sddvd program, not with windows (*nix is ok).

I'll address these issues in the next version, especially where it crashes for people in the selection screen.

I'm trying to boot Nintendo Puzzle Collection [JAP], but it just stays at the "SD-BOOT" screen. The GCM is 140MB and I'm using the standard SD-Gecko with an SD Card from Wal-Mart ("Impact" brand; I'm betting it is of low quality.) Is it supposed to sit there for a long time or jump right into the game? The GCM does work, as I have an actual backup disc that operates fine.

I'm seeing good signs from this project, though.

Just a reminder that Datel's representatives are still sticking to the line that an updated version of SDML will be available soon, and if you tell them you have the current one (and prove it), I'm sure they'll send you a new one when/if one becomes available.

oh that. didn't know thats what you were talking about.

i tried ripping the games using that tool so my card should be formated correctly.

if windows says there is a fragmented folder on the card that it cant fix when i try to defragment, does that mean i need to use a different sd card?

SD_Boot loads fine for my Max Drive Pro. Are you sure you've imprted/exported it already before loading the DOL?

The next version will have checks for all of these things:
DVD In the drive
Game on SD is not fragmented
Proper Region on the menus.

It seems only PAL works for the most part. This is most likely due to the way I initialize my SD card library. I'll fix it for the next build and hopefully more games will work.

I loaded sddvd via lan explorer of gcos.
I don't know why gameboy player startup disk doesn't work with sd-boot and lan boot... Maybe because it calls particular hardware?
Whith gcos it works...

No this has nothing to do with the dvd emulator project which has been posted in a forum. Please keep this topic only about sd-boot.

Oh, it seems this app doesn't work at all for USA users from what i've noticed... sorry but I was in a hurry
I'll have to really work on that for the next release. After about 20 or so entries have been made on the compat list as "Hangs at point X", I'll start to tackle them down one by one.

Also, if a game you try to run just does a complete reset, that's not a problem of the game, but of things in the pre-loader which also I need to work on.
