This happened to my old Wii before the bootmii/preloader days. Mine was softmodded and hardmodded though, so I assumed it was bricked. Had to pay an $85 repair fee, but they did send me a refurbished Wii in it's place.
Hopefully it's just a small technical error for you.

Try another video cable. If it still doesn't work and your under warranty and its not modded send it to Nintendo they can fix it for free since it sounds like a mechanical issue.

I'm sorry to hear that, your best bet (and assurance) to get this up and running is a Nintendo Repair Service, not sure though how much they would charge you for fixing this issue...

I noticed something on 2 different bricks i got to work on. 1 has a black screen and the other has a black screen but my tv says no video. the one with just the black screen had a bad bluetooth chip and the one with the no video black screen was from an update. I was able to fix the bluetooth one.

That's good to know info! I've also heard that a bad bluetooth chip will cause an interrupt in video output. Good idea for troubleshooting since the Wiimote's not going to work anyway. This way you can rule out a bad controller.
