Green Q Some applications mount my USB drive.. others don't. Is there a fix?

This is nothing too concerning to me - it's not essential as much as it's just annoying from time to time.

I have a USB drive with two partitions. The first is a WBFS partition, and the last is a FAT logical partition. On my FAT partition I have a bunch of homebrew apps that I use often, just in case I'm using my SD card for something else. I also throw a bunch of roms on it and is it to store the disc/album art in USB Loader GX.

My SNES/NES emulators both read the USB drive fine. So does USB Loader GX. Wad manager however, won't. Neither will the Sega Genesis emulator. ftpii won't recognize it.. says "failed to mount". I can't think of other applications that fail off the top of my head, but success is about half and half.

I use a 130gig (I believe) Simpletech drive.

Is there an easy fix to this? Something I did wrong?

Edit:

Triiforce also doesn't work. I tried to give NAND emulation a shot, but I got stuck right there at the end.. trying to load apps from Triiforce. It couldn't find my USB drive.

Yes they "all" can be *fixed* its a problem with each said app using different versions of libfat/libogc to compile the said app, since some have patches to libfat to search all partitions for FAT etc.....

Ah, so it's just something I'll have to wait and cross my fingers for the developers to use this patched libfat, if they ever decide to?

well they all modify the latest libraries and each developer makes changes to suit there app, so you could be at straws with it i'm afraid :/
