Maybe emu_kidid is cooking something or already polishing it, although remember he's got his hands pretty full with the WiiSX and WiiN64 projects.

Im interested in using SDboot to load the GameCube version of GeckoOS on my wii so I can apply the ocarina cheat codes. After reading through alot of post it seem like this is actually a gamecube homebrew release and not written to work in wii mode. am I wrong? I thought I might be able to start this from the homebrew channel but It now looks like I need to use the patched MIOS and the GameCubeHomebrew Launcher to start this with out owning some other piece of hardware, such as a modchip or Action Replay or SD media launcher. The problem for me is that once you start the Gamecubehomebrew launcher the DVD drive is disabled. Why is this? any suggestions in general?

Just a note to thank you emu_kidid for such a great piece of software!!
I have been using the latest beta version (the one with the slot choose option) with Datel's SDML and SD-LOAD with some games in several SD cards and almost all of them worked fine.
Interestingly enough, some of the games seem to have different behavior with the same configuration (crackles and out of sync audio) in the other GC I also own. Maybe different firmware versions?
Greets and thank you again!

What kind of error did you get with your MicroSD 2gb ?
I'm not sure that it will work with a card over 2gb but it would be nice to give it a try

Version 0.4 beta 14/10/08:
- Fixes a lot of games such as metroid prime 2, metal gear solid.
- Disable Interrupts in the settings if a game doesn't work or hangs randomly (this actually works a whole lot better now)

Someone help me, I still get this error:
ERROR: module "shared/mgso.rel" is too big.
When I try to launch MGS Twin Snakes with the new version. (NTSC)
(This error is actually an ingame error, the debug Screen comes right after the Konami Logo)
Does anyone know working settings for the game? (Or if I have to pre-patch/shrink it)
I really want to play this game again :-(

emu_kidid, you didn't happen to increase game compatibility too did you? Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban shrunk still freezes soon as you load it. Guess I'll try the full version....

There wasn't much time for testing yesterday but it did improve a few titles which I found to be not working. I'll try out MGSTS NTSC tonight.

I'm not eke-eke :P
niuus, your updated results seem to be incomplete?
Also, do you mean compatibility is up, or is not up?

LOL, sorry, as explained in the Edited post, i was reading eke-eke's response in the BootMii thread so the nick stuck in my head
So! For some basically strange and fucked up reason, almost the entirety of my post went missing when i edited it. Does anyone have a backup before i edited today? Maybe a little help using the google cache feature? Help?
EDIT: Holy shit, got it!! (thanks, Saint Google). I'll repair the post in a couple of hours.

Thanks a lot for the updates emu_kidid
Just wanted to say that on the Wii, using SDLoad and SDBoot, I cannot get an ISO to launch using the 'no original disc' option - it asks to open and close the cover, and when I eject the disc inside and then re-insert it, nothing happens..
Another thing I wanted to mention is that audiostreaming used to work in previous v3 releases, or rather, the music in Beyond Good and Evil used to play - is there a way that the sound mode used before can work if Audio Jitter is set to off, supposing something like that is possible?
Thanks a lot dude

SDboot Feedback
Same result with sd-boot-141008.rar :
Initializing fails 90% times, sometimes detect SDHC, and sometimes not, sometime HCS, sometime not, sometimes SDV1, sometime SDV2... But when it's the good paramaters (32Mhz, SDV2, HCS), it works very well. Game boots and run well, only sounds freeze sometimes.

Wait, does this work for the Wii? Because I'd love to play my Wind Waker. It's really scratched up and I miss it.

I have to look into this.. does it work when audio jitter is off?

Is this with one of those 2GB microSD made in Japan cards?

The new release works great (in 16mhz but thats my fault cus of the non-standard 2GB SD card)
Yesterday I tried to run Prince of Persia: The Sands Of Time (Eur - Pal 50hz) , except for the movies which have choppy frame rate the actual ingame is perfect!
No complain here just wanted to say nice work on that one

No, it's a normal Sandisk non-SDHC 2 GB SD card (extreme3)

Yes those extreme3 are similar to the "made in japan" problems.
I've bought a "made in japan" 2GB microSD and I will test when it arrives

Whats the problem with my wii?
i always get "Please insert Disk" on any version of sdboot.
I use the wii gamecube hb launcher to boot sdboot, or sdload and subsequently sdboot.
I've tried multiple settings, multiple different games, legit wii disk inserted or not inserted, but apart from that the best i've had is a black screen!
Maybe i'm missing something elementary...
i really appreciate all your work emu_kidid, so if it can't be helped don't worry.
thanks for listening.

Not sure, I haven't seen how things work with the wii gamecube hb launcher and I don't really plan to since I only develop this for Gamecube (on a Gamecube).
