I was just wondering why you didn't base this update off of nullex's version with Wiimote support. (found here w/source: http://www.mediafire.com/?yvvtqsi1knn) Either way, a most welcome update to this emulator - I love Metroid II, and playing it on the Wii has been awesome.

I'm assuming this one doesn't have Wiimote support - but why isn't it responding to my wavebird either? I can't navigate the menu at all.

I am having the same problem (Wii version). I even tried a standard wired GC controller and it got stuck at the emu main menu. No ability to move or choose anything.

He just update this emu exclusively for Wii, I did it for both GC and Wii.

It's same version that mirakichi released a time ago, do you get this problem with another emu, besides this?

Try keep a button pressed, when you initially run .elf file, I think this is an issue of wavebirds with emus.

Like this is based on mirakichi's release, you must create RINSAVE folder in root of SDCard.
I'm going to try fix this 2 issues soon: Save folder and GC controller problem, about Wiimote support you must wait a little longer.

Is there a specific folder you need to make for save states to work? I've tried saving and loading save states and I can't get it work, I have a directory called RINSAVE at the root of my SD but it still doesn't work, haven't tried SRAM yet though.

Both save types are stored in RINSAVE, I'm going to check for saving states, because it was working well, I tried it with a rom of SGB, GB and a GBC each one without problems

Well I don't have any idea what I'm doing wrong, I have the RINSAVE directory on the root, and I even have SRAM files there from the last verison of Rin, but when I try to save SRAM, it doesn't show up in the folder later when I checked to see if it actually saved SRAM.

If saves go to RINSAVE, do roms belong in RINROM? (wish there was a readme file). I think I have had my roms in the wrong place and this may have been causing the menu lock up.

Roms go to GBROMS (like Gnuboy).
Just tested it on GC and didn't have any issues with it. Savestates appear to work fine, didn't test sram yet though. 3x Size could benefit from an advanced filter (scale x3 etc), otherwise it's mighty fine. I did notice that there's a difference in the GBC palette compared to Gnuboy.

@Askot
Wii version no longer freezing now since creating \gbroms folder as Blaming Halo suggested. That's good, but I'm still required to browse to this folder from root in order to load a rom. Strange.
SRAM saves not working at all for me either by the way.

Mirakichi's release, like this, start in root of sdcard so you can freely browse for roms anywhere you like. It doesn't save the path.

Filtering is something that I wish to add, that's why ask for help for a GUI, about palettes, gnuboy has a nice option called Filter, this is for "a washed color", that display colors less intense, but this emu doesn't get it, sorry.

Saving it's now in Long File Name, so to make it work, from previous version, file must be same name, i.e., Gameboy Game.zip->Gameboy Game.SAV
Check your SD Card, I test it yesterday and It was working fine with every type of GB and saving, It didn't giving any problem to me.
Did any other Wii user is having this problem too?

I still can't get saves to work. I created RINSAVE and it doesn't seem to work. I've been playing Link's Awakening, and it makes me restart every single time I try to load from a save. When I reboot the Wii the save is gone completely. Save states don't work at all.

I reformatted my SD card to remove corruption and still the same problem. Neither save states or SRAM work. Nothing appears in RINSAVE at all. I put RINSAVE in root directory of SD card.
Edit: Askot, could you please add a 'save failed' or 'save successful' dialog? Absolutely nothing happens when I try to save state or SRAM. I wonder if the emulator knows what I am attempting to do.
Another issue. Button presses in emulator menu affect the game. If I press B on GC controller to return to game, it register a B press in the game. If I press A on 'return to game', it registers an A press. Normally it doesn't matter but sometimes it does.

I'm having the same problem with saving. None of the versions I've tried will save. I can play any game I want just as long as I don't want to save it. I've tried making all the directories you guys have said.

Here is a little update, wii users test it and give some feeback please.
Note: Some games are not going to SAVE STATES and freeze the emu when using this option, like Pokemon and Wario Land 2, but saving SRAM work FINE, first one for battery issues, second I'm not really sure, but every other game it will save well, I've tested them, so you've been warned.
Download in first post.
Code:
Version [2008-06-28]
+[Askot]
- Fixed saving SRAM & State for Wii.
- Added automatic creation of RINSAVE folder for savings.
- Added navigation through file selection with L & R buttons.
