Hey everyone. I was digging through some of my old stuff and I found a clear purple N64 controller. I used it all the time when I first got my N64...and not after long, the wire coming of the controller became exposed. I'm going to bring in a picture of it soon, but there are some things u might want to know: 1. Some of the wires are cut; and 2. The wire is exposed pretty good. Is there any chance I can salvage this controller into working again? I'd really like to use it for some gold ole' Smash Bros...:(

open it, solder the wires together and put some shrinkable tube or electrical tape over the soldering points.
if it doesn't work then, something else is broke as well. in that case it'd recommend ebay. ;)

Hmmm...well from what I can tell it's just a about an inch of wire exposed, with only a few wires snapped. My friend's dad fixed his Guitar Hero 2 controller after the cord was exposed, but I know he didn't solder it. What he did was used some new instant hot-cold product that somehow connected the wires back together, and now it works. I think he might take a look at it, but I'm gonna have to open up the controller to get to the other part of the wires, right?
